Recently, we were lucky enough to attend a very special event hosted by the British watch company Bremont and local jeweler Loring & Co. It’s not everyday that you get to hear about the history and inspiration behind a brand that produces world class mechanical watches from the founders themselves, and it was even more rare since it happened right here at home in Huntsville, Alabama.
Huntsville was one of the stops along the English Tour where the co-founders/brothers were driving a 1973 Porsche 911 and 1970 Jaguar E-Type from New York to San Antonio. The 12 day journey placed a focus on their love for all things mechanical and allowed for stops at authorized dealers of Bremont watches, iconic landmarks, and watch clubs.
Nick and Giles English spoke about bringing watchmaking back to England with their passion for aviation-inspired mechanical watches. From their roots in engineering to the transition into building a watch brand, the insights behind the birth of Bremont were inspiring. On top of that, this event had a community feel to it since like-minded watch and car enthusiasts were able to connect over a love for beautifully crafted machines.

We hope you enjoyed our recap of this special event and recommend checking out Bremont and Loring & Co. if you would like to learn more about the brand and the various watch models they offer.
