We have been supporters of Cyn Shea’s for some time now. Whether it’s the Vermont Maple salad for lunch, breakfast tacos on a Saturday morning during their Live Jazz Brunch, or attending the monthly Dinner & a Movie series, we know anything they are affiliated with is going to be good. The Serving Hope Chocolate Challenge was no exception. We were able to sample specialty chocolate in the amateur and professional divisions and vote for our favorite from each. Eating chocolate to benefit charity is a win-win!
One great part about attending local events like this is feeling the sense of community, seeing familiar faces, and finding new favorites. Chocolate by Julia blew us away, and the addition of Jala Jala pepper jelly in some of the truffles was a match made in heaven!

Topping our list in the amateur division was Cindy Yates with her incredible chocolate covered candied orange slices. Oh, and how beautiful is her display? We can only imagine how cool her shop would be if she opened one!

We had such a wonderful time at the Chocolate Challenge and discovered many new favorite chocolate treats. A huge thank you to Cyn Shea’s for inviting us and putting together such an incredible event to benefit charity. Be sure to follow Cyn Shea’s on Facebook so you don’t miss out on future events like their ever so popular Dinner & a Movie.
I also loved this event…and everyone did an outstanding job!
